Bangladesh begin SAFF Women's campaign with easy Maldives win

Title contenders Bangladesh began their SAFF Women's Championship 2022 campaign with a 3-0 victory over Maldives.

Brace from Sabina Khatun and one from Masura Parvin helped Bangladesh to the easy win.

Khatun scored Bangladesh's first goal in the 32nd minute. Parvin doubled the lead two minutes after the opening goal and Khatun scored her second and the team's third in the 40th minute.

Bangladesh could have added to their total but wasted multiple chances.

Bangladesh will play their second game of the tournament against Pakistan on September 10 at 1 pm while Maldives face India the same day.
