Police down Chandrapur and climb to second

Nepal Police Club defeated Chandrapur Municipality Rautahat 3-1 to move to second in the standing of the National Women's League on Sunday.

Nirmala BK opened the scoring for NPC in the 27th minute before NPC's goalkeeper Sapana Rai failed to save a simple shot from Sabita Kumari Rana Magar allowing Chandrapur to equalize in the 39th minute.

Niru Thapa restored NPC's lead in the 50th minute before Anushka Sherpa added a third in the added time.

The win gives NPC one point lead over Tribhuvan Army Football Club (TAFC). TAFC, however, have a game in hand and play Biratnagar Metropolitan City on Monday.

Chandrapur lie in the sixth place with three points.
