Nepal Armed Police Force Club (APF) defeated Tribhuvan Army Football Club (TAFC) 3-0 to assert their complete dominance in the National Women's League campaign.

APF club won all their 12 matches in the league scoring a total of 77 goals conceding just once.

Saru Limbu scored twice and Anita KC scored the other goal as APF completed the league double over TAFC.

Limbu opened the scoring in the 45th minute in the match played at Dasharath Stadium. After Anita KC made it 2-0 in the 86th minute, Limbu added another in the additional minutes of the game. TAFC had few chances to their name but could not find the back of the net.

APF coach Bhagwati Thapa said the team was happy to win the title. "We wanted to improve our performance after the game against Biratnagar and so we did," said Thapa.

TAFC coach Raju Tamang said draws against Nepal Police Club proved to be the difference in their title chase. "They played well and their midfield controlled the match. Other teams have some catching to do with APF," said Tamang.

APF also won a cash prize of Rs 1.5 million. Second-placed TAFC won Rs 800,000 while Nepal Police Club (NPC), which finished third, and fourth team Waling Municipality Syangja won Rs 500,000 and Rs 300,000 respectively.

Chandrapur Municipality Rautahat won the Fair Play Award winning a cash prize of Rs 150,000.

APF's Saru Limbu was declared the Most Valuable Player of the tournament. She won a Yamaha scooter. APF's coach Bhagwati Thapa won Best Coach and Sabitra Bhandari won Best Forward award. NPC's Amrita Jaisi was Best Defender and Usha Nath was Best Goalkeeper. Bimala Chaudhary of TAFC won the Best Midfielder award.

The players and coach declared best in the category won Rs 50,000 each.
