ANFA and FMT sign MOU to regulate and promote veterans football programme

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) and Footballer's Mission Together (FMT) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote and regulate veterans football programme in the country.

ANFA General Secretary Indraman Tuladhar and former national team footballer and FMT Chairperson Bishnu Gopal Shrestha signed the MOU during a programme at Dasharath Stadium on Friday.

As per the understanding reached between the two sides, ANFA has authorized FMT as the sole governing body of Veterans Football Programme in the country. ANFA will also provide its guidance and expertise and promote veterans football activities.

FMT will prepare a comprehensive strategic action plan to promote, regulate and standardize Veterans Football Programme in the country for ANFA's approval. They will also prepare, develop and produce rules and regulations for veteran's football tournaments. FMT will supervise, monitor and evaluate the programme and provide yearly feedback to ANFA.

As per the understanding, FMT will conduct annual Deputy Mayors U-12 football tournament consisting of teams of municipalities of Kathmandu valley starting from fiscal year 2078/79.

FMT will also manage the fiscal resources required to conduct veterans football programme and U-12 tournament from various donors sources.
