NRT and Sherpa share points after dull draw

New Road Team (NRT) and Himalayan Sherpa Club (HSC) shared a point each after an uneventful draw in the Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League 2021/22 on Sunday.

It was a dull affair between the two sides at the Dasharath Stadium. The two sides had created relatively few chances in the whole 90 minutes.

HSC's head coach Yugal Kishor Rai said they were surprised by the performance by their opposition. "We didn't know who we were playing against. It was strange. I don't know what was wrong with them," said Rai. Rai said he was happy with the team's performance but a goal eluded them.

NRT's Raju Kaji Shakya said they lacked coordination in today's match. "It was because we were playing after a long time. Suspension and injury to our players also downed our performance," said Shakya. Shakya lamented on the team's failure to muster a single shot in the opposition post.

The draw means the two sides remain in their previous position in the table.

The second game will be played between APF Football Club and Sankata Club at 4:45 pm.
